Crl.M.C. No. 1380/2013 By this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 471/2006, registered under Sections 406/498A/34
IPC at P.S. Ashok Vihar, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom.
The parties are present in the court along with their respective counsels. They are duly identified through their respective
2013:DHC:7332 counsels.
Counsels for the parties submit that all the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled. Counsels further submit that in terms of the said settlement, the petitioner no.1 has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 6 lacs to the respondent no.2 towards full and final settlement of all her material claims inclusive of stridhan, maintenance(past, present and future), permanent alimony etc. Counsels state that out of the said amount of Rs. 6 lacs, the petitioner no.1 has already paid an amount of Rs.5 lacs to the respondent no.2. The counsel for the petitioners has paid the balance amount of Rs.l lac by way of two demand drafts bearing no. 288094 and 220078 dated 8.4.2013 for an amount of Rs. 49,000/- each and the remaining amount of Rs.2,000/- has been handed over in cash to the respondent no.2 today in the court.

Cornsel also submits that the marriage between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2 has already been dissolved vide

I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
I .Since the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled and the marriage between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2 has already been dissolved, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioners alive any further. Consequently
FIR No. 471/2006, registered under Sections 406/498A/34 IPG at P.S.
Ashok Vihar, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
I .Since the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled and the marriage between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2 has already been dissolved, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioners alive any further. Consequently
FIR No. 471/2006, registered under Sections 406/498A/34 IPG at P.S.
Ashok Vihar, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
