Crl. M.C. No. 1404/2013 By this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.34/2012 registered under Sections 406/498A/34
IPC at P.S. CAW Cell, Nanak Pura, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom.
The parties are present in the court along with thei~ r
2013:DHC:6789 v respective counsels. They are duly identified through their respective counsels.
Counsels for the parties submit that all the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled. Counsels further submit that in terms of the said settlement, the petitioner no.l pas agreed to pay a sum of Rs.l5 lacs to the respondent no.2 towards full and final r-
\ ' settlement of all her material claims inclusive of stridhan, maintenance(past, present and future), permanent alimony etc. Counsels state that the said amount has already been paid by the petitioner no. I to the respondent no.2. The respondent no.2 present in court acknowledges to have received the same. Counsels also submit that the marriage between the petitioner no. I and the respondent no.2 has also been dissolved.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
Since the inter se disputes between the parties have been
• amicably settled and the marriage between the petitioner no.l and the resrondent no.2 has already been dissolved, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioners alive any further. Consequently
FIR No.34/2012 registered under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC at P.S. CAW .... S7
Cell, Nanak Pura, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
The petition stands disposed ofaccordingly.
