ORDER

1. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.PC praying inter aliafor grant of protection on the ground that the petitioner No.1 and 2 had entered into an intercaste marriage alliance on 11.07.2013 and the parents of the petitioner No.1 were opposed to the said marriage.

2. On the last date of hearing, notice was issued on the present petition and pursuant whereof, the respondent No.7, father of the petitioner No.1 is present. He states that he has reconciled W.P.(CRL) 1129/2013 2013:DHC:7514 himself to the marriage of his daughter with the petitioner No.2 and that he had neither extended any threats to the petitioners earlier, and nor does he intend to do so in future.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of the present petition with directions to the State that in case the petitioners face any threat in the future or any specific incident in that regard is intimated to the local police, then adequate protection shall be granted to them. The mobile numbers of the beat staff and the SHO shall also be made available to the petitioners.
