JUDGMENT

1. The prayer clause in this writ petition reads as under: “In view of the above, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to: a. Issue a writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction quashing and setting aside the impugned order dated 04.11.2024 passed by Respondent No. 4, rejecting the petitioner’s resignation request; b. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the Respondents to accept the resignation of the petitioner and grant all due benefits in accordance with the applicable service rules and regulations; W.P.(C) 17788/2024 c. Pass any other or further order/direction as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice.”

2. It appears that, during the pendency of these proceedings, the respondents have accepted the petitioner’s resignation and the petitioner has also joined the UP Rural Engineering Department on 10 March 2025.

3. As such, learned Counsel for the parties submit, ad idem, that the grievance in the writ petition does not survive.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
