JUDGMENT
(oral)

1. Petitioner has filed a complaint before the learned State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, New Delhi, which has been registered as CC No. 922/2018.

2. The sole request in the present petition is to issue direction to learned Commission to adjudicate such complaint as expeditiously as possible. It has also been contended that the complainant (petitioner herein) is a senior citizen in his eighties and is seeking compensation from the Bank as the Bank had lost title deeds of the immovable property of the petitioner which were offered as collateral, while availing some loan from the Bank. According to petitioner, the loan amount has already been duly repaid and the petitioner also continues to have the possession over the property in question but the CM(M) 576/2025 2 manner in which title deeds have been misplaced by the Bank, the complainant is entitled to receive compensation from the Bank.

3. Be that as it may, fact remains that no real instance of hardship, as such, has been cited. It is settled position of law that the Constitutional Courts, generally, do not issue directions for time-bound disposal, unless there is an exceptional case of hardship and, therefore, this Court does not find any reason to give any such direction in the present matter.

4. However, since the matter is, reportedly, coming up for consideration before the learned State Commission on 02.04.2025, the petitioner would be at liberty to make appropriate request in this regard and this Court expects that such request would be considered, with due compassion.

5. The present petition, along with all the pending applications, stands disposed of.

6. Order dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.
