Accordingly, the application is allowed.

1. Vide the instant petition, the petitioner seeks directions thereby directing the respondent to allot an alternative plot to the petitioner in lieu of the acquired land.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s land was acquired by the respondent and award thereto was 2014:DHC:6516 W.P.(C) No. 8261/2014 passed on 11.11.1985. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for allotment of an alternative plot vide application dated 25.07.1986, however, till date there is no response from the respondent as to what is the status of the aforementioned application.

3. Accordingly, the petitioner sent a legal notice dated 07.05.2012 to the respondent asking the status of the aforementioned application for allotment of an alternative plot in lieu of the acquired land. Despite, there is no response from the respondent side till date.

4. Keeping in view the relief sought for in this petition, I direct the respondent to inform the petitioner about the status of the aforesaid application dated 25.07.1986 within a period of two weeks from today.

5. Accordingly, the instant petition is allowed.

6. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties.
