Impugned judgment grants compensation @`15 lacs per acre with consequential benefits for Block ‘A’ land situated in village Bharthal, Delhi to appellants, in pursuance to Notification of 13th December, 2000 under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act.
At the hearing of this appeal, learned counsel for appellant has placed reliance upon Apex Court’s decision of 13th February, 2014 in Civil Appeal No. 2091/2014, titled as Impulse India Pvt. Ltd. Vs. Union of India & ors. wherein the compensation for Block ‘A’ acquired lands to similarly situated claimants has been increased to `21 lacs per acre.
2014:DHC:6716 LA.APP No.568/2011 Page 2 Since none appears on behalf of first respondent, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Pathak, Advocate, present in the Court has been called upon to appear on behalf of respondent-UoI and he submits that on parity basis, appellants are entitled to compensation @`21 lacs per acre with consequential benefits but for the period of delay of 998 days, appellants are not entitled to the interest amount.
This appeal is allowed in terms of Apex Court’s decision in
Impulse India (Supra) and appellants are granted compensation @ `21 lacs per acre with consequential benefits while denying interest for the period of delay of 998 days.
This appeal and application are disposed of in aforesaid terms.
