JUDGMENT
In the above captioned two petitions, quashing cross FIRs i.e. FIR
2015:DHC:7324 Crl.M.C.No. 1468/2015 Page 2 No. 798/2014, under Sections 326/506 IPC [in Crl. M.C. No. 1468/2015]
& FIR No. 799/2014, under Section 354 IPC [in Crl. M.C. No.
1476/2015], both registered at police station Vikas Puri, New Delhi is sought by petitioners on the basis of Family Settlement Deed of 17th December, 2014.
Mr. Satya Narayan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1-State submits that respondent No.2- Giani Harinder
Singh, who is the complainant/ first-informant of FIR No.798/2014 [in
Crl.M.C.No. 1468/2015] is present in the Court and he has been identified to be so by ASI Satyawan on the basis of identity proof produced by him.
Mr. Panna Lal Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for
State submits that respondent No.2- Smt. Gurpreet Kaur, who is the complainant/ first-informant of FIR No.799/2014 [in Crl.M.C.No.
1476/2015] is present in the Court and she has been identified to be so by
SI Rajesh on the basis of identity proof produced by her.
The complainants of cross FIRs- Giani Harinder Singh and Smt. Gupreet Kaur submit that the misunderstanding between the parties now stands cleared in terms of Family Settlement Deed of 17th December,
2014. They affirm the contents of their affidavits placed on record in support of these petitions. They submit that to restore cordiality amongst the parties, who are related to each other, proceedings arising out of these FIRs be brought to an end. At this stage, learned Additional Public Prosecutors for respondent- State submits that the above captioned two petitions are cross FIRs and Crl.M.C.No. 1468/2015 Page 3 investigation is almost complete and in view of the affidavits of complainant party, their supplementary statements would be recorded and thereafter, final reports would be filed within four weeks. Let it be so done. This petition is accordingly disposed of with liberty to petitioner to avail of the remedy as available in the law, if need be. Dasti.
