JUDGMENT
(ORAL)

1. The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 56/2016 of PS Khajuri Khas for offence under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 Dowry Prohibition Act. The quashing is sought on the ground that parties have compromised all their disputes.

2. All the petitioners as well as respondent no. 2 have personally appeared and are identified by their respective counsel and Investigating Officer/SI Sachin.

3. I have spoken with the parties in Hindi. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has received full and final settlement amount in lieu of her stridhan and now she has no claim outstanding against any of the petitioners. The parties had no child born in their wedlock and now parties have already obtained divorce with mutual consent, after which the respondent no. 2 has got remarried. Respondent no. 2 specifically submits that she does not want to pursue the trial against the petitioners.

4. Detailed statements of parties have already been recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.

5. Having spoken with the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push them through trial. Therefore, the petition is allowed and accordingly, FIR No. 56/2016 of PS Khajuri Khas for offence under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 Dowry Prohibition Act as well as the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
