JUDGMENT

1. After some hearing, Mr. Sahil Chandra, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submits that he would be satisfied if this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take a decision on the post confirmation petition filed by the petitioner, after the order of dismissal from service and sentence had been passed against him, preferred by the petitioner on 10 January 2025.

2. As the life and liberty of the petitioner are involved, we dispose of this petition with a direction to the respondents to positively take a W.P.(C) 6317/2025 decision on the post confirmation petition within three weeks from today and to communicate the decision to the petitioner forthwith.

3. Should the petitioner continue to remain aggrieved by the decision, his rights in that regard shall remain reserved.

4. The writ petition is disposed of.
