Hemant Kumar Sharma v. University of Delhi & Ors.

1. The appellant had laid a challenge to an order dated February 25, 2011 relieving appellant from the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Satluj Jal Vidut Nigam Limited (SJVNL). The appellant had also sought quashing of an office memorandum dated December 31, 2010 whereby minor penalty proceedings had been initiated against the appellant. Further prayer made was that appellant should be considered for extension of service as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SJVNL up to July 31, 2014.

2. The writ petition has been dismissed by the learned Single Judge vide the impugned order dated February 08, 2012. The learned Single Judge has decided only the issue whether appellant was entitled for tenure to be extended as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SJVNL. The issue concerning quashing of the charge-sheet for minor penalty has not been decided by the learned Single Judge. LPA 246/2013 page 1 of[2] 2015:DHC:11254-DB / \ e I

3. The issue in the appeal as of today relates to a date in the past. This could be the reason.why none appears for the appellant.

4. Be that as it may, since none appears for the appellant at the hearing today the appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution.

5. No cost.
